It is my pleasure to introduce the newest member of the hurdle family… mademoiselle olive , a lufferly 4 (and a half) month old pied French bulldog. She is just one the exciting reasons why blogging has taken a back seat of late. To make a long story short we’d done loads of planning trying to coordinate a move that would allow us to have a dog and move out of our flat, sell our furniture etc ( all whilst heading to the states for holiday) and finally had it all taken care of… Or so we thought. A few days after we came back from the states and three days before we were to move we got a call from the breeder who had a family emergency and “we had to pick up olive NOW”. We had no where to keep her even if we wanted to, so we finally compromised by picking her up on Friday about 12 hours before the moving van man came.
I wouldn’t say it was the easiest transition for all of us moving into a flat half the size of the old one with a brand new trembly puppers– but here we are 3 weeks on and everybody is happy. {Well everyone except for our downstairs neighbour who has put in a complaint against us which is so ridiculous I can barely handle it. Our offenses include: using the washing machine ( which has never been in past 8:30 at night), moving furniture (yes its called moving in), flushing the toilet and hearing the dog running. Sigh. Hopefully it will all be sorted soon.)
She’s growing up so fast I feel like I’m missing it already! She has never gone down the street without someone talking to her ( and she goes out ALOT)!! It’s amazing how friendly people come out of the woodwork when there is a dog involved!! I’m not exaggerating in the least when I say that I spoke to more people on our first two days with puppy, than I did in three years of living in the city.
I’m sure this won’t be the last you’ve heard of this ickle pickle!

Ooooooh, she is so cute!!
I am very jealous, I wish I could have a puppy but I don’t think my landlord or dog allergic flatmate would be too pleased! xx
It’s about time she made her debut! Mucho gorg-e-o-so!
Kisses xoxo
adoreable! oh how i want a dog!!!
Oh don’t worry Emzie, I’m thinking of creating an escort service to pimp Olive out as so many people want to be her friends and I am looking for an afternoon free of doggie cleanup. Come on down!
Muaah! Olive wants to meet her wisened older west coast cousin…do you reckon they’ll ever meet?! Perhaps they can be pen pals?
I love her, love her, love her but blimey she is a full time job! I think a doggie rental service is such a great idea…all the fun without the 13 years of servitude!
